Today’s decision day.

Will the British electorate vote to remain a member of the European Union or leave the bloc in today’s defining referendum.

Opinion polls have been swinging backwards and forwards between the two camps.

Polls will stay open until 10pm in Britain. That’s 11pm CET.

A final result is expected tomorrow morning (June 24).

Some voters have been preparing themselves by rushing to swap their pounds for euros and US dollars. The fear is sterling will slump if there is a vote to leave.

Experts have observed the pound rate has infact fluctuated over the last few weeks along with the opinion polls.
