Actress Amber Heard has been granted a temporary restraining order against her estranged husband Johnny Depp, after accusing him of throwing an smart phone at her face.

Appearing in court in Los Angeles, Heard produced photos, including one which appeared to show a large bruise around her eye, claiming Depp was high on drugs and drunk at the time.

The 30-year-old actress alleges the attack was one of several domestic abuse incidents during her 15-month marriage to the 52-year-old actor.

A judge ordered Depp not to try to contact Heard.

The latest legal move follows Heard’s decision on Monday to file for divorce from the Pirates of the Caribbean star, citing irreconcilable differences.

It came three days after the death of Depp’s mother who had reportedly been suffering a long illness.
