Netherlands flower parade in full bloom

The Netherlands’ 69th flower parade is in full bloom. Some 400,000 flowers were displayed on colourful floats driving the 42-kilometre route from Noordvijk to Haarlem.

Originally established to express a love of peace following the Second World War, today the flower floats have become a symbol of spring time and attract thousands of tourists each year.
