Panama is at the centre of a global hurricane sparked by the leak of a huge list of documents which have become known as the “Panama Papers” published by the International Consortium of Journalists and over 100 media outlets concerning hundreds of offshore companies.

The leak has been reported on television channels across Europe.

Spanish station TVE looked at what offshore companies are. France 2 reported on soccer star Lionel Messi’s apparent connection to Panama.

Portuguese channel RTP aired an interview with one of the partners of the company at the centre of the media probe.

The role of the banks and lawyers was the theme of a report from Swiss channel RTS.
