German police are investigating who fired several shots into a migrant shelter in a small town south of Frankfurt. A 23-year-old man was hit by a bullet in his sleep and suffered a minor injury. Some 30 people were in the shelter at the time. Police say they have little to go on, but suspect the crime may have been racially motivated.
Germany took in over a million migrants and refugees in 2015, and while the welcome has been mostly warm, there have been incidents of attacks on individuals and a number of cases of arson.
