The highly-anticipated eighth and final stop of the 2015 Extreme Sailing Series took the action to Sydney in Australia, where thousands of spectators lined the shores to watch the drama on the waves unfold.

After day one of two – the nine-boat fleet of Extreme 40 catamarans was reduced to six after numerous collisions and penalties throughout the opening eight races.

SAP Extreme Sailing Team survived unscathed to sit at the top of the Sydney table ahead of Oman Air but one more day of eight races remain before a winner for the leg and a winner for the season are crowned.

The Wave, Muscat currently leads the overall standings having won five of the seven legs completed so far.
