The moment a Palestinian rammed his car into a bus stop in an ultra-Orthodox Jewish area of Jerusalem was caught on video from a security camera provided by Israeli police.

The driver ran over three people, got out of the car and attacked them with a cleaver. In the ensuing chaos one of the Israelis the driver attacked was killed, six others wounded and the attacker shot and seriously wounded by a security guard.

The Israeli was one of three people killed in the city, the other two were victims of a stabbing and shooting on a bus in the Armon Hanatziv area. The Palestinians had called it the “Day of Rage”

For others it was a day of mourning with the first of the funerals. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu convened an emergency cabinet meeting. He said Israel would use “all means” to end Palestinian violence.

In the northern Israeli town of Sakhnin over 20,000 Israeli-Arabs took to the streets in a solidarity rally with the Palestinians. They are angry over increasing Jewish visits to the al-Aqsa mosque compound in Jerusalem.
