France’s Kevin Rolland produced yet another flawless run to set the pace in qualifying ahead of Sunday’s halfpipe World Cup series final at the Cardrona Alpine Resort in New Zealand.

The 26-year-old outclassed America’s Lyman Currier and compatriot Benoit Valentin while Devin Logan reigned supreme in the women’s event.

The Olympic silver medallist scored 92.20 points on her first run, enough to beat last season’s World Cup winner Ayana Onozuka with home favourite Janina Kuzma completing the podium.
