Serbia’s Novak Djokovic overcame a spirited fightback from Andy Murray as he reached the French Open final with hard-fought five sets win on Saturday.
The World number One, who resumed leading by two sets to one after a storm had halted play on Friday evening, conceded the fourth set before stepping it up a gear in the fifth, eventually winning through 6-3, 6-3, 5-7, 5-7, 6-1.
Djokovic will next lock horns with Stan Wawrinka in the showpiece match on Sunday after the Swiss downed local hope Jo-Wilfried Tsonga 6-3, 6-7, 7-6, 6-4.
