The streets of Ankara became a cauldron of celebrations late into Monday night as Galatasaray were crowned Turkish Football League Champions.
It was a record achievement by the Lions clinching a 20th title – the first club in the history of the League to do so.
Fans of Galatasaray had just seen their bitter rivals Fenerbahce draw 2-2 in a match against Basaksehir and that left Galatasaray with an unassailable five point lead with one match remaining.
The title was Galatasaray’s third championship in the last four seasons.
