Ghana will be bidding for a fifth Africa Cup of Nations title when they lock horns with Ivory Coast in the showpiece match in Bata on Sunday.

Now in their record ninth final, the Black Stars will be relying on the likes of Asamoah Gyan and Andre Ayew to end a 33-year title drought.

National team coach Avram Grant should have a fully fit squad to choose from while Herve Renard’s men will, however, be without midfielder Cheick Tiote, who has not recovered from an ankle injury picked up in the early stages of the tournament.

Renard, who was appointed on July 31 last year, is hoping to become the first coach to win the Nations Cup with two different countries, having led Zambia to the title three years ago.

The game kicks off at 7 pm local time.
