A false alarm briefly spread panic at Zurich University on Thursday when reports of a gunman shooting on the campus led to 5,000 students and teachers being told to lock themselves into their rooms.
About 100 police officers were sent to comb the grounds of the
Toni-Areal arts university campus, but found nothing, and classes were able to resume.
