Deal at last at UN climate change talks Mongolia is the most sparsely populated independent country on the planet, vast unspoiled steppes stretch as far as the eye can see.
But, the country is undergoing major changes: the traditional nomadic way of life is threatened as climate change wipes out livestock and forces herders to migrate to Ulaanbaatar, placing a huge strain on resources on what is the world’s coldest capital city.
In 2012 Ulaanbaatar is a capital under pressure.
