People gathered and fires were lit in Paris as tensions remained high amid nationwide protests over the cost of living. The gathering comes after several days of unrest in France, with concerns over possible further confrontations.
On Sunday evening, a fire broke out near Place de la République, where police secured the area and firefighters worked to extinguish the flames.
Footage showed the looting of a clothing store in the neighbourhood. Bikes were also set alight nearby.
Euronews crews were on the ground as the situation developed.
