Video. US sailors reunite with families as USS Abraham Lincoln returns home

The USS Abraham Lincoln returned to San Diego Bay after 265 consecutive days at sea, completing a record-long deployment that included supporting US military operations against Iran.

Sailors reunited with their families, some carrying flowers and balloons, as the aircraft carrier arrived home. The deployment drew attention over reports of supply shortages and concerns about crew welfare.

The massive nuclear-powered warship left California in November 2025 for duty in the South China Sea and was rerouted to the Middle East before US-Israeli attacks on Iran.
