Thousands of people gathered on the National Mall in Washington for a large prayer rally blending religion, patriotism and support for President Donald Trump.

The event, linked to celebrations marking America’s 250th anniversary, featured Christian music, speeches and prayers from religious leaders and government officials.
People sang hymns, waved “Jesus Saves” signs and filled the National Mall during the rally.
In a brief video appearance, Trump read a passage from the Bible in which God says he will "heal their land" if people "seek my face and turn from their wicked ways."
