Thousands of runners in red and white filled Budapest's streets on Sunday as the Santa Run marked its 10th anniversary. The event, held along the Danube and organised by the Budapest Sports Office, welcomed adults and children.
Officials said around 4,500 participants took part across three distances: 900 metres, 2.3 kilometres and 5 kilometres. More than 15% of the runners were under 10, turning the day into a lively mix of generations.
Many families said they joined to share a simple moment together before Christmas. Organisers hope the annual run promotes sport and an active lifestyle in winter for people of all ages.
