This year’s festival, part of Türkiye’s Year of the Family 2025 initiative, places a special focus on the theme of family. Participants from regions including Central Asia, Africa, the Middle East, and Europe are participating in events ranging from cultural workshops to traditional athletic competitions.
A Family Camp has been set up to encourage engagement across generations.
During the opening, organisers also referenced ongoing global challenges, including the situation in Gaza, and spoke of the importance of spaces where children can grow up safely.
