Israel's early Tuesday airstrike, launched without warning, followed its first attack on Beirut since November’s ceasefire, escalating tensions with Hezbollah after recent hostilities.

An Israeli airstrike hit a building in Beirut’s southern suburbs early Tuesday, killing at least three people and injuring seven, according to Lebanon’s Health Ministry.

The Israeli military said it targeted a Hezbollah member accused of aiding Hamas attacks from Gaza.

The strike came days after Israel's first attack on Beirut on Friday since the November ceasefire with Hezbollah. No prior warning was given.

Hezbollah has not commented on the strike.
