The Russian Ministry of Defence released images on Friday of Grad rocket launchers and T-90 tanks in action on the eastern front in the occupied region of Donetsk.
Russian forces also shelled the town centre of Kherson the same day, hitting a block of flats and injuring a retired couple.
While immediate medical assistance was provided at the scene, the two victims said they had narrowly escaped death when a rocket tore through their apartment from the kitchen to the living room right in front of them.
The Ukrainian authorities have opened a criminal investigation, alleging violations of wartime laws by the Russian army.
