Israel's military retaliated after 12 children and young people were killed in a strike on Israeli-controlled Golan Heights.

Beirut residents inspected damaged buildings and workers cleared rubble on Wednesday morning following a rare Israeli strike on the Lebanese capital.

Israel on Tuesday carried out the strike on Beirut, which it said killed a top Hezbollah commander who was allegedly behind a weekend rocket attack that killed 12 young people in the Israeli-controlled Golan Heights. The strike killed at least one woman and two children and wounded dozens of people.
