Video. Mothers honor Srebrenica victims ahead of U.N. genocide vote

Updated:

Mothers of the 8,000 Bosnian Muslims killed in the 1995 Srebrenica genocide laid a wreath at their graves on Wednesday.

They were joined by UK Minister for Europe Nusrat Ghani and British Ambassador Julian Reilly. The visit preceded a U.N. vote on establishing an annual day to commemorate the genocide. The resolution, backed by Germany and Rwanda, faces opposition from Bosnian Serb President Milorad Dodik and Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, who deny the genocide despite U.N. court rulings.
