The Spanish Air Force continued to drop water onto the wildfire ravaging the Canary Island of Tenerife on Friday.
Firefighters have been trying to bring the blaze under control since Tuesday night. It has since grown to the worst wildfire in decades on the island, a major tourist destination.
The islands have recorded below-average rainfall in recent years because of changing weather patterns impacted by climate change.
