Hundreds of environmental activists formed a human chain along one of India's holiest rivers, the Yamuna, to raise awareness about pollution ahead of World Environment Day.
Parts of the Yamuna, which courses through the centre of India's capital New Delhi and is already one of the most polluted waterways in the country, are annually coated in mounds of white foam resembling snowfall.
