The first Helicopter World Cup season reached its halfway stage on July 29 and 30 with a stop-off in the Belarusian capital Minsk.
The seven-round competition is split into two disciplines. Load carrying involves two-man crews lowering a succession of weights into barrels. In slalom, the teams collect water in buckets and guide them through a series of gates before placing them on a stand.
Pilots and their assistants require great skill and dexterity as they control buckets and weights dangling from a length of rope.
After previous stops in the Czech Republic, England and Russia, the 2017 Helicopter World Cup is due to continue with three more rounds in Germany, Austria and Poland.
