Palestinians clashed with Israeli soldiers in the West Bank on Friday (May 19) during demonstrations in support of Palestinian inmates on hunger strike in Israeli prisons.
Palestinians say the open-ended strike is a protest against poor conditions in prisons and Israel’s policy of detention without trial, which has been applied in thousands of cases since the 1980s.
