Massive sandstorm hits southern China devastating crops and bringing traffic to a halt.

A strong sandstorm that started on Tuesday afternoon, (19 April), suffocated the southern Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, especially the Tarim basin, affecting traffic, farmland and the lives of the local residents.
