Video. France: Carnival in Dunkirk

Segolène Royal, the French environment minister, participated in traditional ‘herring throwning’, the main event at Dunkirk Carnival in northern France. Hundreds of kilos of herring were thrown from the balcony of the town hall onto the crowd below.
