Today marks the start of Russia’s watermelon harvest. Now everybody can try them for free in Moscow’s GUM, one of the most iconic shopping centres in the city, located on the Red Square. The shop’s famous fountain has been turned into a “Vase of watermelons”. A saying known to most Russians from Soviet times is “If you get lost, we’ll find each other by the fountain in the GUM”.
