LONDON – The Bank of England’s interest rate-setters remain “watchful” as it is not clear if interest rates in Britain have reached a peak, deputy governor Ben Broadbent said on Thursday.
“The risks are still to the upside so I don’t think it’s clear that…somehow we know we’ve got to a point where there’s a peak,” he told reporters. “I think the committee is still very watchful.”
