Crowds flocked to Warsaw for Poland’s annual Bird Imitation Championships, where competitors tweeted and chirped it out to recreate the calls of the country's native bird species.
This year’s crown went to Irena Rosiewicz, who impressed the judges with her imitation of the common rosefinch, a migratory songbird found across much of Eurasia.
Organisers hope the annual event will encourage more people to appreciate birdsong in the city, while also highlighting how it is gradually disappearing from urban life.
