Every summer, the Gabala International Music Festival turns this Azerbaijani mountain resort into an open-air stage, hosting world-class jazz, opera and orchestras against the backdrop of the Caucasus.
In late July, the 14th Gabala International Music Festival brought more than 500 artists from 13 countries to Azerbaijan’s mountain resort city.
Performances filled the Congress Hall by day and the Qafqaz Resort Amphitheatre by night, with programmes ranging from the Tbilisi City Hall Big Band to “Viva Opera” under the stars.
Founded in 2009, the festival has grown into a cultural landmark, attracting international performers and audiences alike.
As the final notes faded, locals and visitors were already anticipating next year’s celebration of music in the Caucasus.
