Shabnam Salahshoor grew up in a traditional society where women's sport is permanently on the sidelines.

After moving to Paris, France, Shabnam works with several sports associations that empower migrants to learn French, build confidence, socialise and find community. She believes sport is a powerful tool for newcomers to integrate into French society.
