Hundreds of students staged a walk out Monday afternoon at Roosevelt High School in Minneapolis, where federal agents had deployed tear gas on students and faculty less than a week ago.
The students planned the two-mile route from the school and marched with signs, the slogans ranging from "Hands off my school" and "ICE out", to "Welcome to Panem," a reference to the dystopian society from the young adult Hunger Games series.
"What do we want? ICE out! When do want it? Now!" they chanted.
The adults donned reflective vests to clear traffic for the students.
Many parents showed up in support, some in Roosevelt merchandise from their own high school days.
