Updated:

A Paris exhibition marks a century of Art Deco design with the rebirth of the legendary Orient Express, symbolizing the glamour and innovation of 1920s travel.

At the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris, the exhibition “1925–2025: 100 Years of Art Deco” celebrates the design movement’s centenary and the revival of the iconic Orient Express.

Three full-scale mock-ups reveal the new train, set to launch in 2027, combining 1920s elegance with modern luxury.

Architect Maxime d’Angeac’s redesign evokes the spirit of Art Deco craftsmanship, while the show features masterpieces by Ruhlmann, Gruber, and Cartier.

The Orient Express, which once carried Europe’s elite between Paris and Istanbul from the late 19th century until 2009, is preparing for a grand return.
