Hong Kong is finalising preparations for the Chinese National Games 2025, which will feature cross-border races and state-of-the-art venues shared with Guangdong and Macao.

Final preparations are under way in Hong Kong for the Chinese National Games 2025, the country’s largest multi-sport event.

For the first time, competitions will extend across three regions, Hong Kong, Guangdong and Macao, including a marathon linking Hong Kong and Shenzhen, and a 230-kilometre cycling race crossing the Hong Kong–Zhuhai–Macao Bridge. Venues such as the new Kai Tak Sports Park will host events including fencing and handball.

Organisers say the Games will test coordination across borders while showcasing Hong Kong’s growing role in major sporting events.
