During the Holy month of Ramadan, Muslim footballers will fast from sunrise until sunset. How do they adapt, and does it impact their performance?

When Ramadan falls during the season in the Middle East, the timing of training and matches are modified to accommodate participating players.

And, as the amount of Muslim footballers playing in European leagues continues to grow, inclusive practices such as stopping the match to take on fuel are becoming more common.
