On Tuesday, the Chairman of Les Républicains, Eric Ciotti, announced an alliance between his party and the far-right Rassemblement National, led by Marine Le Pen and Jordan Bardella, ahead of parliamentary elections in France.

The French centre right Les Républicains are tying up with the far-right Rassemblement National for the upcoming parliamentary elections, redolent of the broad alliance of the right in Italian government.

We asked Fratelli d'Italia's Nicola Procaccini for his take on the emerging trend.

As co-president of the European Parliament's European Conservatives and Reformists (ECR) group, we asked him about post-election negotiations among the right-wing factions, speculation on top EU positions, and Ursula von der Leyen's chances of securing support from the conservative bloc.

We also dived into which countries in Europe recorder the lowest turnout in the European elections.
