Maria Walsh is a Member of the European Parliament from Ireland (Fine Gael, EPP), and Vice-President of the European Parliament’s LGBTI Intergroup. Attending the Belgrade EuroPride2022, she was among those who urged the Serbian Presidency to lift the ban on the march due to end a week of events.
