Theresa May honours: Who did the former ¨PM recognise in her resignation list?

Theresa May has included her closest advisers and cricketers in her resignation honours list.

Among those receiving peerages, knighthoods and other honours are her former advisers Nick Timothy and Fiona Hill who will get CBEs — a move that has drawn criticism as they left office amid accusations of bullying behaviour.

May previously gave a speech during which she suggested her predecessor David Cameron’s decision to give a knighthood to his ex-communications director Craig Oliver made her feel sick.

The list includes around 20 of her former advisers, including her director of communications, Robbie Gibb, who will receive a knighthood, and a peerage for Gavin Barwell, her former chief of staff.

Ian Lavery, chairman of the Labour Party, said that it came as "no surprise that big Tory donors and No 10 cronies" were being honoured.

Former England cricketers Andrew Strauss and Geoffrey Boycott have also been recognised, displaying the former PM's love of the sport.

However, the knighthood for Boycott has been criticised by domestic abuse charities.

The 78-year-old was convicted in 1998 of beating his then-girlfriend Margaret Moore in a French hotel. Boycott has always denied the assault.

Here is the full list of honours:
