WARSAW (Reuters) - U.S. President Donald Trump could reschedule a weekend trip to Poland, which he cancelled abruptly on Thursday, in the coming months, an aide to Polish President Andrzej Duda said.
Trump announced he was cancelling his weekend trip to Warsaw due to Hurricane Dorian, which is set to strike Florida this weekend.
He said he would reschedule his trip in the near future and that Vice President Mike Pence would take his place this weekend to mark the beginning of World War Two 80 years ago.
The aide, Krzysztof Szczerski, told private broadcaster TVN24 that the two presidents spoke on the phone and discussed Trump visiting in "the coming months, because this is a realistic perspective with such a calendar."
