Chinese striker Li Ying scored the only goal in a 1-0 victory over South Africa in the women's World Cup game on Thursday.

China's victory means they will join Spain on three points in Group B. Their game on Monday will decide second place unless South Africa pulls an extraordinary win over Germany. But even then, they would have a tough time getting enough points to see them to the other end.
