PARIS (Reuters) - Former world number one Serena Williams was knocked out in the third round of the French Open following a 6-2 7-5 defeat by fellow American Sofia Kenin on Saturday.

Williams, the 10th seed, was chasing a record-equalling 24th Grand Slam singles title.
