Is the new leader of the Christian Democratic Union (CDU), Annegret Kramp-Karrenbauer (AKK), a "mini-Merkel" or an Angela Merkel clone?
Tonight's panel on Raw Politics doesn't think so.
Germany MEP David McAllister thinks the "mini-Merkel" nicknames aren't fair on AKK, saying "she's an independent personality...she will go her own way as the chairwoman of the CDU, and rightly so."
But both the panel guests think the German chancellor's CDU successor has her work cut out for her, with Arte editor Anja Waltereit stressing the need for AKK to set herself apart from Merkel in order that the CDU party rally behind her.
Meanwhile, McAllister said AKK had to work to make sure there was no chance of a repeat of 2015's migrant crisis.
