Raw Politics: Aquarius migrant's frustration on the path to asylum
It's been three months since Reward became the last migrant to disembark the Aquarius, the rescue ship that highlighted Europe's lack of coherence and clarity in regards to immigration policy.
Anelise Borges was a passenger aboard the ship as it was rejected by Italy and Malta before finally being allowed to dock in Valencia, Spain. She reached out to Reward to check up on his progress since his arrival on European shores. Now in Bilbao, he tells her of his frustrations, his memories and what remains of his dream.
