The pair are the latest victims of adverse conditions in the Italian Alps this year
Two mountain rescue workers have been killed in an avalanche in northern Italy.
The victims' bodies were recovered from Mt Grignetta north of Lecco in the country's Lombardia region.
A helicopter ambulance, mountain-rescue teams and police were dispatched to the scene amid unconfirmed reports that another man is missing.
The avalanche is the latest in a series of deadly snow slides in the Italian alps so far this year.
