Historically a spectacular showcase, the 2018 Lunar New Year celebrations were no exception. People take to the streets across the globe to enjoy the carnival atmosphere associated with the event.

In modern China, the new year's festivities are also known as the Spring Festival. The grand finale comes in the form of a Lantern Festival, which concludes the festivities on March 2.
