Donald Trump's ex-national security advisor Michael Flynn has been charged with making false statements to the FBI over Russian contacts

Donald Trump’s former national security adviser Michael Flynn has pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI.

According to Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s office, a plea hearing has been scheduled in Washington D.C. federal court.

Flynn has been under investigation for his dealings with Russia both before and after the Trump presidential campaign. He is the first of Trump’s administration to have charges levied against him involving Russian collusion, while four others related to the campaign have already been indicted.
