After a shaky start that saw Seville 1-0 up after just five minutes, two first half goals from Firmino and Salah turned the game around for Liverpool. But after 72 minutes Joaquin Correa spoiled the party on Merseyside with an equaliser. The 2-2 draw still leaves Liverpool on top of Group E with Seville in second place.

Over in Group F Manchester City cruised to a comfortable 4-0 victory over Dutch team Feyernoord. John Stones took the credit for two city goals in the second and 63rd minutes. The win leaves city on top of Group F ahead of Shaktar Donetsk on goal difference after their 2-1 win over SSC Napoli.

An own-goal by Dusko Tosic gave FC Porto their only hope against Besiktas, but three goals by Taliska, Tosun and Babel resulted in a convincing victory for the Turkish side and left them firmly on top of Group G with the Portuguese languishing at the bottom of the group.

Christiano Ronaldo gave Real Madrid the lead after just 12 minutes against APOEL Nicosia and firmed it up just after half-time with a penalty. One more by Sergio Ramos left it 3-0 to the Spaniards. They stay top of Group H with Londoners Tottenham in second place despite their convincing 3-1 win over German team Borussia Dortmund.
