Three days of constant rain in eastern Switzerland, 20 centimetres per square metre in some areas, or the equivalent of 200 litres of water, has caused severe flooding.

Fire services are at full stretch with hundreds of calls for help, and the weather forecast is for more rain through Sunday.

Several roads have been cut by landslides.
